Hadithi House is a creative and cultural house built around books, ideas, creativity, learning and community.

At its heart is Soma Nami Books, an independent bookstore and literary hub created for people who love books, ideas and good conversation. What began as a book blog in 2017 grew into a book club and, in 2021, into a physical bookstore. Today, Soma Nami brings readers, writers, publishers and curious minds together through books, events, conversations and creative experiences.

Hadithi House is the home from which we are building beyond the traditional bookstore — creating spaces and experiences that encourage people to read, think, make, grow and connect.

From our bookstores and book club to literary events, workshops, publishing and the African Book Fair, we are interested in what happens when books become a starting point for bigger conversations and new ideas.

We are growing, experimenting and building something with ambition, and we are looking for people who want to be part of that journey.

If you love books, people, ideas and the possibility of creating something meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.
